Shooting in bright light snow

i'm visiting tahoe next week, what's the best settings to void washout look? without using any filters. i had a bad experience last time.

There was a thread recently about this, but try a circular polarizing filter, DRS (requires a 60i or 60p framerate), and watch your waveforms.

Also look into the Tiffen Ultra Contrast filters. I haven't used them yet, but they sound and look very interesting from what I've seen so far. I am excited to try them out. Especially for high contrast situations like snow.

Start out by putting the internal ND filter on 1/64.
