Shooting HVX-200 with stock lens to film out?

I've heard some people lately say that they want to do their best with the HVX-200
without the hassles of any lens adaptors for cine lenses. Does anyone have any
experience shooting with the stock lens and going all the way to a film print?

Also, does anybody use any kind of diffusion on the stock lens or do you like it
as it is? Thanks.

I highly recommened avoidung using diffusion in front of the lens if you're going for a film out. HD picks up alot more of diffusion textures in the glass which goes unnoticed at certain focal lengths but is evident in others. You may not catch this stuff on the day, but the imperfections will be exaggerated onscreen and even further after a film out.

If you can afford a film out, why aren't you shooting film?

That's what I suspected but I wanted to get other opinion. Thanks!

I can't afford one but I'd like to keep the option open for somebody down
the road who could. If I do that, do you see any downside, e.g. not
using diffusion that would look good on a DVD but is deferred so as
to retain sharpness for a possible but less likely film-out?
