Shooting Help Again - 720 24p Blurry?

Ok Ive had my 300 for 6 weeks now and done a handful of jobs. Everytime i shoot in 720 24p my footage is not crisp like it is when i shoot in 1080? I am using AVC I100 for everything as well.

What am i doing wrong? Originally i thought my back focus was off but checked it out and its fine. I am using the Vivid filter on all shots and shooting everything at 24 frames.

This is getting to be very frustrating and my footage looks blurry in 720 mode. Any help or advice would be appreciated- my finished product is for local market TV ads.

Is it that you are shooting 24p and they are playing it back at 30p?

Best find out what frame rate it is needed on and shoot in that format!

Drop frame also comes into the equation in the USA so I am sure some others will chip in and advise as we shoot everything in 25p here in the UK and it is shown in 25p

The raw footage is the issue - its been all outdoors as well. I import ProRes HQ and its fuzzy? The viewfinder shows crisp focus but after import it looks like i had a pro mist filter on the lens? I know this has been addressed in the past but i know this camera can deliver a great product, i have a 1080 shoot to prove it. But i want to be able to shoot at 720, etc. Coming from a DSR300 Sony SD camera i ask myself why this has to be so complicated?

It may be that your edit system has dropped the resolution just to play back the AVC once re-wrapped to pro res HQ.

What edit package are you using and what computer, also what RT settings do you have set?

The issue could be the shutter speed. By default it records at a slow shutter speed. You are using the word "blur" to describe it - could it be motion blur? Try raising the shutter speed to something higher. I know videographers that have never even touched the shutter switch.

If you're locked down on a tripod and it's still blurry, then it's not slow shutter speed blur!

The only problem with my theory, though, is the slow shutter speed is the same at 1080... and you say you're not seeing a blurry image there.
