Shooting format in Europe?

simple question. I am producing a doc entirely in DVCPRO-HD 1080i 24pA. If I am hiring shooters in EU with HVX200e, what would be the differences? Pal vs. NTSC, what do these have to do with 1080i? Is the frame rate the only difference? What mode can these cameras provide that is most compatible?

thanks,
tom

Yeah, I had no problems to convert the PAL 1080i 50 (that is actualy 1080p 25 anyway - just wraped in a 50i signal) output of my HVX200 to 24P .

Came out nice.

It's easy. I was living in France for 7 months with an NTSC HVX. I simply shot in 720P24PN and with Cinema tools changed it to 25fps. No compression it just sped it up that extra frame and made no noticeable difference. To go the other way around it would just be slightly slower. I haven't tried it, but I've heard there is a tweak you can do with the PAL HVX's to make it shoot 24P, but you can't capture sound in that mode. Other than that, while shooting HD, your aspect ratio and resolutions are the same. Best of luck.
