Shooting fast motion

Hi,
I'm filming dogs running in bright daylight. I'm shooting 720/30pn at 60fps in film cam mode. Should I change the shutter speed to 1/1000 or change the syncro scan degrees? I want to pull some stills from this footage as well, would that affect my choice?

I would start by doiing two test shots, setting synchro scan at 140 and 160 degrees. I have been shooting moving zoo animals at 720 24pn with a 160 degree shutter angle and am pleased with the amount of blur. 140 might decrease the blur to a satisfactory amount without looking unnatural.
