Shooting at night (exterior and interior)

First of all, thanks for your help in advance.
I am shooting a movie on a Sony HD Z1U with a mini-adapter and all the scenes are at night.
Some of the shoots are exterior night shots and the interior shots are inside of a barn. Any ideas about how to light for these two locations.
The exterior shots are going to be near the barn, so I'm thinking that a light mounted on the side of the barn (floodlights) could be used but I'm wondering how to light so that the source looks like it's coming from a full moon as well as from the floodlights. I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for all your help.

I would light the shot then diffuse it when a soft filter over the lights, I.E a big peice of rough plastic to diffuse the light then use some gels to give it a pale blue light.

what kind of light would you use to duplicate the moon? do you think that a 1k diffused and with a blue gel would work? Also, how high would it have to be in order to duplicate the softness and large throw of the moon?

Yeah that should do a good enough job. Make it as high as you can and point it down not straight into the barn but a little before so its not extreme direct light. Have it pretty far back to span really wide.
