Shooting a series PILOT using two different cameras

I will be shooting a tv series pilot and the camera for that production will be a sony EX1 and a Sony EX3 XDCAM w/ letus 35 and prime lenses.

My first reaction is will it match? OF course, EX3 will be my Camera A and the EX1 is Camera B. Has anyone shot with both cameras and does is match?

I haven't gotten my hands on the equipment for it will be coming from Mexico in 2 weeks. But we are doing some test with it as soon as it gets here. I just thought of getting a heads up from you guys.

Much appreciated!

Your hardest issue isnt the EX1 and the EX3 unless you are shooting both cameras with a letus.

If camera A is the EX1 and then EX3 being camera B with the Letus I'd do it like this.

Camera B use the Letus for the interviews, if any. Camera A be used for the B-Roll and if you reallly want to get technical you could take the Letus off the B and then shoot two B- Roll cameras after you have shot your interivews.

Or**

Shoot the A camera with a lower sharpness setting, maybe like -3 or so to even out the softness look that the prime lenses will give. You can shoot the WS with the A camera and the MCU's and the CU's and cut aways with the B camera.

I think your confusing CAMERA A to be EX1, it's the other way around... CAM A = EX3 w/ LETUS35 and CAM B = EX1.

Doesn't really matter, camera A or camera B the fact is this, one will look a little like a film camera, one will look like a video camera, you'll be having two cameras that'll show the footage big time...
