Shooting a seminar, what do i need?

i wouldnt think of doing something like this alone (if the budget cant afford an hourly assistant expense, the job isnt worth doing) but in theory, but as long as the nature of the presentation will allow you to look away with your camera locked off and running for 90 seconds or so at a time. you CAN get through ANY length show with just two cards. one recording while the other transfers. in all my years of shooting P2. which has to be like 8 or 9 now. i've never been in a situation where i filled a card before the other was finished transferring.

Thanks WGZN,
Heaps of great info there. I have bought a second 64gb P2 card & am renting 4 x 32gb cards to make sure i am on top of it.
Probably overkill i know but i would rather have an excess of everything for my first time than find myself short of something when i need it & have to hold up the conference.
I will try out your naming system & go from there i think.
I did run some test footage & dropped it in to vegas to check it all works seamlessly, which is does.
I am slowly becoming more confident with this as i read more & more. I am sure after an hour or two i will find my groove & be ok.
Cheers Pete.

Well everyone, i am happy to report that all went well this weekend.
The audio sounds superb. Nice & clear. I ended up running the sennhieser mic through both audio channels & i am very happy with it.
The light was only from some of those tiny downlights in the ceiling so it was fairly dim & created alot of shadows on the speakers face whenever they turned.
Overall i am very happy with my first attempt & will try to get some footage to post up for critique.
Thanks again to everyone who helped me, i couldn't have attempted this without you guys.
Cheers Pete.

I thought I should follow up on this for everyone that offered me help.
My client was extremely happy with the end result & has offered me several more of these next year:)
A huge thankyou to everyone here.
Cheers Pete.
