Shooting a Football Combine

Hey Guys

This weekend we did a test for a company where we shot a football combine. Everything came out great, we were using two DVX's up on a lift about 25-30 feet up. The drills, 40 yard dash came out great. The only problem is during the scrimmage games (7v7), we had to be so Wide on the lense that we lost all resolution on the players. I know the DVX only has a 1/3 chip, would using a 2/3 chip camera on this, help solve the problem since it would have me lines of resolution. I know a sony DSR570 has about 850 campared to the DVX's 520(?). Also each pixel on a 2/3 chip camera would be larger, will that help?

Thanks
Matt
