shooting a film with lots of FX

Hi, I'm new to these forums, but I was planning on shooting a film this summer which calls for alot of FX. Thier are a few bullet time scenes, now I was wondering if this was possible?:

Can I shoot an actor against a green screen, where he is fighting with someone. Then as he is about to come crashing out a window, time freezes then the camera does a pan 360 on the acting, then fighting resumes slowly as thier falling, something like spiderman 3.

Now the way I was planning on doing it was create a virtual enviroment, hence the green screen. As for the time freeze effect i can do that in after effects, however for the pan 360 while the motion is frozen, can I shoot the camera motion without the actors infront of the green screen, then compose the images in after effects?

Basically what im trying to say that can i use time freeze in after effects, then insert that image into the pan 360 motion, and use 2d motion tracking to stablize the shoot, so it would have a smooth rotation? I know its kind of alot, if someone is willing to help me, I can send em a script of the page that im trying to shoot. And if you live in the nyc area, and willing to help shoot thiers potentialy a huge budget we can be working with if we can pull of this short film and show it to possible investors.

Yeah, this is in the wrong forum - we have a special effects forum here :)

But this scene is going to be hard to do. First of all, with a 3D environment, a 2D motion track won't do what you need it to do. The scene in the Matrix where this was shot was done with a huge number of SLRs to get that done. And if I remember correctly the actors were rigged as well.

The bullet time scenes can be done - shouldn't be too hard to pull off - if you keep it in a 2D space. With a virtual environment, you need to match the lighting so it looks believable. As for a 360 motion pan, unless you have a motion control rig - you won't be able to match the digital environment with the live action plate. The two motions need to be exact.

Unfortunately - what you are suggesting isn't entirely possible in after effects alone. I don't have any other ideas on how to make this work. I can take a look at it for you with Maya and Nuke - to see if there is something I am overlooking. But I am pretty busy. If I come up with something, I will let you know. But I don't think you can pull this off in after effects. It can do a 2D motion track...but a 3D motion track is something completely different.

Not to mention the actors would need to be rigged to do the fall. I am no expert in special effects. I focus in visual effects. But you would need stunt people and a stunt coordinator to do the fall out the window.
