Shooting a feature in 10 days time with the AF

I am dp on a low budget feature with the AF with Zeiss standard and super speeds and going straight to the panasonic outboard recorder . We were meant to have 2 weeks to test and set up the camera but due to adaptor issues and camera availability this will now turn into about 4 days! This is not ideal. I have not even had a chance to hold the camera let alone test the thing. so am putting out a call to the community for advice, tips and look outs for those of you who have had time to put the camera through its paces.

Listen to your zebras and waveform, they tell the truth. We shoot with:

Cine V
Norm2 Gamma
-3 Chroma
0 Detail
0 Coring

Great Results! I couldn't be happier with this camera!

yes, andrew is correct, zebra and waveform are such important indicators not to be ignored. usually i am around 90% depending. i use slightly different setting to give a lower contrast for post grading options.

i also would stress the importance of black balance and white balance. i am in experienced with BB but would do one every scene change or drastic light change, as would a WB be needed. it is a world of difference what just proper exposure, WB and BB can do for this camera. and be it a feature, i would assume youll have the time to set up the shot properly; they will be awesome. i everytime i shoot i keep getting more beautiful images than the last. aside from other things to be learnt on this camera, i would saw find a color box setting you like and will work for the story, use exposure tools to get correct exposure and WB and BB your shots/sceens. good luck!

Actually see if you can get your hans on Barry Greens book. Its most likley going to bring you upto speed faster than anything else can.

Great news on shooting a feature with the AF, nice lenses - have a great shoot.

Well, I don't have any advice on the use of the AF-100, but after having been through a few low budget features, my biggest advice will alway be, "Get comfortable shoes!". Good luck and make sure to post some shots for us.
