Hi!

Im shooting my first fashion show on thursday, and im pretty nervous now, i havent used it much yet so i still feel pretty new to filming (with this camera) , Can anyone help me out with tips and what to do? maybe the best setting etc, it will probably be outside or at least the lightings will be good i think, so doubt there will be in a dark room:) ... And besides that, whats the best casette to buy? just so i double check:)

well best setting for best quality :)

Thanks!!

Make sure your focus is perfect as well as white balance and iris. Play with these setting before your shoot so you can get used to them. You may also want to play around with Depth of field. Basically the area in focus gets smaller when you are zoomed in/closer to the object. Also DOF gets smaller when you make the iris hole smaller (higher #). Small DOF can be used to keep your subject in focus while blurring the back ground. You should probably use up a tape of practice before your shoot. As for what tapes are best...I always use sony because they are cheep, but everyone has there preference. The important thing is to stick tot he same brand and get head cleaning in between switching brands. Do you know what brand was used in the cam in the past?

great, thanks! i think it was TDK miniDV that he used before me. so im using that now.. But do you know the best settings for the best possible clear footage for the camera? with normal lightings during the shooting. Just best settings so its as clear as possible!

Depends on if you want a film look, or if you want a tvish look. I'm not super creative so hopefully someone else can answer this. I;d think 30p or 60i would be better then 24p to catch fast action. You may want to experiment with the sceen files to find one you like. There are tons available online
