I too have a bit of choppiness in my footage when filming handheld in 24p, especially if I move the camera around too much or the person in the frame moves across the frame in a horizontal line too quickly. Wouldn't be any different using a tripod I don't think.
Has anyone had different experiences?
I need to figure out a broadcast solution (for TV) so am thinking shoot at 25p, convert to 50p, and convert again to 50i (delivery format). I'm thinking this will smooth out the motion. Bit of a hassle though ...
