Shooting 24P at Dusk

I recently bought a DVX100a and haven't touched the factory settings yet. Most of the work I'm doing is outdoors and some of it requires shooting in natural light at dusk and twilight. My question: What settings at 24P give the best picture quality with the lowest possible picture noise? Panasonic recommends to use B-STR file in low light situations but I prefer to do all the shooting in 24P. Is it possible to get a good low light shot in 24P without alot of picture snow? Suggestions?

You could always change your 24p scene file to incorporate B-STR and see if you like the looks of that.

whats B-STR and what does it do?

Hi; Scene B-STR is the file setting at F4 on the Panasonic DVX100a. Contains settings with extended gradations for the dark areas. Suited for shooting scenes at dusk.

I've adjusted the master pedestal for night shots for some good results. I had a entry with the settings I used and a sample clip posted somewhere on the site but I can't find it with the *new* search page. Argh.
