Shooting 24P and 24PA

I've been shooting at 24P on my DVX100A and I heard that you can edit it at 30fps and it will look fine. I play it and it looks good, but I was wondering if the footage is still at 24fps after editing it and exporting it, or does it change my 24fps to 30fps? I only have Adobe Premiere 6.5 and I can't edit at 24fps. Can I shoot 24PA and edit it at 30 or will it looked choppy?

24P video captured at 30fps (29.97) will still have the same 2 P look after editing because standard 24p on a DVX is over 60i. If you shoot 24pAdvanced you will need to edit in a 24 fps timeline.
