SHOOTING 1080 out to film transfer

anyone have experience shooting 1080 then transfer to 35mm?
looking for good recipe for shooting with HPX500. trying to decide between 720PN or 1080 24P...

Definitely go 1080/24p.

Shoot 1080, drag the files to EDIUS, edit.

we are editing in FCP STUDIO 2. what would be the procedure for removing pulldown for the film transfer. or is that something that is done at the film scan? I have never done this before and looking for the best solution.

If you shoot 1080/24pA (and notice the "A"), then FCP can automatically remove that pulldown when you put the footage on a 1080/24p timeline. So basically you shouldn't have to even think about it.

Be sure to ask your FCP-specific questions in the FCP forum, so the FCP experts will see it and advise you further.
