Hi Guys,

Here is a quick glimpse of the CINEfocus r2 prototype (note that the 48 tooth drive gear is from the r1, the r2's drive gear will be a smaller 40 tooth. We are also missing the logo stickers):

The CINEfocus v2 is slimmer, lighter and we have now replaced the plastic main handle with a machined aluminium version with diamond knurled grip.

The horizontal adjustment/sliding assembly is now a dove tail mating, so it is far more solid once tightened and can no longer 'pivot' inadvertently.

Also, the main black disk that houses the white marking disk rotates on the current version, but stays stationary on the new version. The white disk and handle spin inside the main black disk. Nothing functional, but it looks slicker and sexier. The price will be £349 and include one FLEXIgear lens gear.

The current CINEfocus r1 is on sale @ £299 until it is sold out. There will then be about a 2 - 3 week gap before the r2 is released. This is why we have decided to show the r2 now to be fair on our customers.

Below are 2 pics of our new FLEXIgear lens gears. These will be availalable next week:

Hey Wayne,

Do you have a ball park release date for the new r2? Could I do a pre order on one?

Cheers, Jon

Hi Drcoffee,

It will be in the first few weeks of August. We are not taking pre orders, they will go directly on sale once released.

Hi Guys,

Good news! The production parts finally arrived this morning and we couldn't be happier :) We have enough for 60 units with another 60 to follow shortly.

We can confirm that the order pages for the DSLRmount & CINEfocus, SGblade & CINEfocus and the standalone CINEfocus will go online on the 31st (Tuesday). The price for the standalone CINEfocus r2 will be £349 which includes flightcase and 1x FLEXIgear.

The wait is nearly over :)

Thanks Tim,

The drive gear is held on via a flat head set screw. The white marking disk is held on magnetically.

Wayne, I see the projecting drive shaft -- does that mean the drive gear can be removed from the front and put on the back to mesh with shorter lens barrels?
Cheers.
