Shoot w/o lens

Hi,

so there is no harm in keep this setting to ON? or it is better to switch it
off once stock lens is put back on?

thanks.

It's just a setting to help idiot-proof the camera, so that it won't shoot unless the lens is talking to the body. Think of a consumer...you could have the lens on slightly loose and either risk the lens falling off, or have the AF, OIS, and aperture settings not work right.

No harm in leaving "Shoot w/o lens" on "Yes"

I'm pretty sure it is for when you were using lenses that had no electronics like old manual lenses. I have to make sure 'shot without lens' is on for the camera to work with my old M42 lenses with adapter.

correct. I set it on so I can use my rokkor-x 50mm lens. I put the stock lens back on and did not know if that is a problem. just wanted to double check it does not do anything else other than disable the shutter when set to off.

thx
