Shoot it, Share it! Contest

Panasonic wants to give you a heads up on an exciting video contest we’re launching for users of our AG-AF100 larger imager digital cinema camera. On Feb. 6th, we’ll be launching a web site where you’ll be able to upload up to five videos (up to 5 minutes in length) and enter them in specific categories in order to win prizes. If you’ve shot with the AF100, now is the time to get your video footage ready to submit in these categories -- nature, short film, commercial, music video, documentary … and there’s a student category for those aspiring filmmakers too. Look for more news on the contest in the coming days. This is only open to US Customers.

Looking forward to seeing some great projects.

More details soon,

Jan

Hey that's a little unfair! What difference does it make if your from the US or the UK? I'd love to enter a little music piece I made!

Wow. Hope to get mine up and running in time to shoot some stuff for the contest.

When is the entry deadline?

Thank you!

Contest is going to start on the 6th of February and will go to mid-March.

I know some of our international folks are disappointed but there is just no way for us to deal with it. Sorry, I know you are all really excellent shooters/story tellers.

Best,

jan

Thanks, Jan. Good to know Panasonic is supporting us and interested in what we're producing out in the field.

To bad. I would have liked to enter...

How about we copy the Rules of the U.S ONLY Competition (when announced) and set up an international version.

The World vs the U.S.

Set up a Thread here with links to the International Entries ( No US entrants allowed) on either YT or Vimeo. (Entries must be by DVXusername)

Maybe a supporting sponsor is interested ? Maybe from with in DVXuser?

BTW: I think that meant Panasonic U.S.A

Fun stuff!

Are composites accepted for one entry?

Our AF's are somewhere in the school district, getting tagged or something to make sure that the school district exerts its ownership or something, so as soon as we get them, we will be very excited about doing this!

Hi Eric,
Do you mean a little of this and a little of that? Try to tie them together, with music. Keep in mind you will be competing against other stories that may be all one piece and sometimes continuity and flow goes a long way.

If that isn't what you mean, post back!

No. I work in broadcast and most of my stuff is :30 promos and commercials. So thats why I was asking if I could put up to six minutes of promos together as one entry. Like a campaign. I do this for The Emmy's as a composite.

Thanks.

Hey Jan,

I work mainly out of Mexico but also sometimes work in the US. I bought my camera in the US (from B&H) Do I qualify as a US costumer or not?
