Hi all.
I'm a proud owner of a DVX100BE since few months ago. I've been shooting in 4:3 letterbox mode and have no problems with that. But few days ago I thought that it will be a good idea to make the letterbox in Vegas instead and shoot in normal 4:3 full frame. This way I could play with the black bars putting them in and out, making square frames, etc.
The thing is that shooting in 4:3 full frame guessing what are the limits of a suposed letterbox that i would do it in Vegas is not much accurate. At college we used to put a pair of stripes at top and bottom of the display to see what were in frame but I don't want to do the same thing.
I tried customizing both shooting modes and display modes but didn't find a way to see a letterbox in display while shooting in 4:3 full frame. Is there a way to do this without the stripes trick?
Thank you!
