Shoot Anamorphic DV with HVX 200 finish 4:3 FCP

Hello all,
I'm about to shoot a documentary in DV with the HVX 200 and I may need to finish in 4:3 aspect ratio but I want to maximize the quality of the original footage (within the DV format). My question is: Can/should I shoot anamorphic DV and frame for both ANA and 4:3 frame, then if client wants to finish in SD 4:3 simply crop wider ANA frame for SD 4:3 without degrading the image?
I'm under the impression that it's best to use all pixels on HVX sensors (i.e. shoot Anamorphic).
What's the workflow for shooting anamorphic DV and finishing 4:3 in FCP 6.2? Am I on the right track, or will I reduce quality of finished video doing this?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Cheers,
Paul Williams

Douglas,
For budgetary/space reasons I've got to keep it in DV....I should have been clearer in my query--I've amended it now. Thanks.

Shoot 720 24p/n - you'll get almost as much space as you would with DV, but assure yourself a high quality acquistion. Then you can always do your Pan and Scan from there. And it won't be any more work than if you shot anamorphic and cropped it.
