Shooing for widescreen

Shooing for widescreen

I am shooting a 5 minute piece for a client and want to format for widescreen plazma. After reading a couple of old posts I have a few questions.

Does the original DVX100 have the squeeze mode, if so where is it and what exactly does it do.

I haven't used the letterbox feature thinking it looses resolution and I can frame in Post.

What is "scope aspect". is that just a term, or is it a setting on the camera, Premiere Pro software, etc

What is best way to publish to DVD (Encore) and Web (compression) using PremierePro. A previous post mentioned using Sorenson (is that a setting in Pro and if so where)

Re:  Shooing for widescreen

No squeeze mode on the original DVX100.

Letterbox doesn't lose any resolution, but it does cover up portions of the image.

"scope" is a reference back to CinemaScope, and means an anamorphic film aspect ratio of about 2.39:1.
