Shipping a camera without the original packaging

I am selling my Canon Xh-A1 locally through craigslist in Portland, but have been hesitant to put it up on these boards cause I am unfamiliar with a safe/stable way to ship
the camera, without the original packaging.

How do you guys package cameras to send in the mail? Lots and lots of bubble wrap?

find a box that the camera fits in quite tightly, and pack it in with bubble wrap, loose fill, news paper, toilet paper or whatever. Then stick this box inside another box with more bubble wrap in between.

I rencently borrowed the official shoot35 test camera and posted it back this way.

All was fine :-D
