GH3 Shimmering DVD from GH3 footage

I wonder can anyone help me? I shoot GH3 AVCHD 1080 50p and put it on a Sony Vegas Pro timeline mixing it with 720 50p shot with a Panny HM 151. I set the properties at 1280x720 and framerate at 50.000. I render to DVD using 720x576 framerate 25fps and set the field order at progressive. I do this because this minimises and takes away any shimmering from the GH3 footage. Am I right to use these settings or is there a better way? Obviously these are PAL settings.

It is probably field jitter. In horizontal lines or movement in trees or on fine pattern in stones (for example) it is almost as if the footage is pulsating. Generally in movement shots but noyt exclusively. It is not on the GH3 footage in Sony Vegas Pro so it doesn't seem to be moire and if I render to MP4 (at any bitrate) the shimmering/pulsating/jitter is not present. I checked the field order in Main Concept MPEG2 and tried rendering in Upper, Lower and None(Progressive). Upper and Lower were significantly worse than Progressive so I will have to stick with progressive. Is this any help to you guys I manage to confuse?!!
