Amazing camera! Everything I thought it would be and more, just one quick question, I used FCE HD and I was wondering if when I use firewire if I can put my stuff directy into FCE and how?

I might have to reset my settings on FC.

Have cam off. plug in firewire.turn cam on. launch FCE. settings should be for DV NTSC(unless you are in PAL land).
AFAIK FCE does not support 23.98 timeline so shoot in 24p regular or 30p/60i.

I still seem to be having a little bit of trouble. I changed my settings to DV NTSC and then went through you steps but nothing seemed to happen in FCE. I changed it to DV NTSC Firewire just to see what would happen and still, nothing.
 
Are you starting up the capture window? You have to capture the tape that you shot too or you can capture live video and audio over firewire through the capture window too.
 
Cam must be in VCR mode as well. Little button below the Scene file dial.

By the way, have you given here a name???? I'm still honeymooning with mine, even after 28 hours clocked up on her.
 
actually sorry i currently am not a multi camera man so i was just looking for what the kid who started his thread had just that ogio bag with a spot for one camera and all the accessories. thanks anyway or if you know where to find that comment back
