Sharpness test between Nikon D800, Panasonic GH2 and Canon 7D

The gama shift (lower contrast) that people are using in 5dtorgb is just a perception of something that is already here, you could achieve the same with a curve lift of the shadows.
Sorry, but if you use 5DtoRGB to alter the gamma of the original footage, you are adulterating it in the same way that a gamma filter would do in an editor like After Effects. Once you do this, you're evaluating your workflow rather than the camera's original footage. GH2 hacks do not alter the gamma or contrast properties of the video, they only enable the camera to preserve the sensor's data more accurately. Likewise, you need an accurate display of the video's original content in order to make an objective evaluation of its sharpness.

I definitely would like to evaluate all cameras with the best possible workflow for each one. It seems like that means using 5DtoRGB on the GH2, so I'll try to do so in the fix-update. It may also mean adding sharpness to the Canon, and noise-reduction to the low-light test, and... well, and I won't do any of those, because I don't have the time anymore. But Ignacio will transcode and send me the new GH2 files, and then swapping them is quick and easy, so I'll do that.
