anyone have a recommended sharpness setting for a more filmic picture profile in the Z1U in PAL mode?

people are telling me less sharpness = more filmic. this true? also, if I do decrease the sharpness significantly, are there any things i need to look out for that will look crappy or make my post life difficult?

I plan on shooting PAL --> nattress deinterlace --> export uncompressed --> 23.98 conform --> print to HDCAM at my school thru their online FCP rig. I'm testing for a comedy, mocumentary feel, with a dead to life, muted feel with lots of blue and green.

I recently encountered the same question. My results after many tests in forests, creeks etc.. were that turning the sharpness brought the most HD look. Being able to see every vine and rock in the forest made the HD really pop. Here is an image with the sharpness turned all the way up, as you can see instead of making the image grainy it just sharpens the image
