sharpest/best lens....

Hi, I searched the forums and surprisingly couldn't come up with a solid answer...so:

For anything around or under 15,000 dollars , which is the best lens for the HPX500?

I heard Zeiss are pretty darn good, and if that is so, any model you can recommend?

And something to help with the shallow DOF/film-look would be ideal. - so nothing that would end up looking too "TV" or digital.

I found a site: "bostoncamera" that had a set of zeiss digiprimes for 850! it came with: DigiPrime 5mm T1.9, DigiPrime 7mm T1.6, DigiPrime10mm T1.6
DigiPrime14mm T1.6, DigiPrime 20mm T1.6, DigiPrime 40mm T1.6

would that be a good deal? seems like it would be. if one is 15000 ....or are you referring to another kind?

EDIT >> nevermind, I just noticed it was for RENTAL and not purchase the lenses. .....darn.

anyway, to make this post more worthwhile, I'll ask: any cheaper (then 15000 heh) lens that you/anyone recommends?

Digiprimes start at 19,000ish and run up to 50,000. But they are simply the best B4 mount lenses you can buy.

Try to find an older B4 cinezoom from canon or fujinon. I had a J9x5.2 Canon Cinezoom that was sharp as a tack. If you can find one of those used, it should be around $10K-ish
