sharing media files

[gkb444]

I would like to share my avid media files over a network so two avid systems can use the same media files. I am running two media composer software only systems and all the drives are accessible through windows xp but I do not know how to get avid to see the media on the drives of the other pc. Is this something avid will do? or do I need to buy a special drive from avid?

like a unity/interplay system?
yes. You can learn all about it on avid.com. Still bandwidth issues and varying kickups but a viable solution depending on needs.
