Has anyone purchased or used a Shape WLB Chameleon 2 shoulder mount for the EX1? I am researching cheap shoulder mounts and stabilizers and found this company on ebay. It seems like sturdy stuff. Anyone?

Though I only viewed the demo trailer on a small window I thought it looked pretty good.
Seems like a independent moderate size company that services the 1/3 , 1/2 sensor camcorder community and the indie film production population.
Not sure how prices compare to other manufactures but it's a good time to buy Canadian if exchange rates are important to you. They promote themselves like they aim to please. You can even talk to them in person and customize one. If they actually make their products in Quebec and designed them to handle their winters then there's a good chance the equipment is sturdy.
They may have reviews out there if you google their name.
Anyway, thanks for posting the link, at least caught my interest.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any reviews on their stuff. The Spider 2 and the Chameleon 2 both look good. The price is affordable and they use a lot of Bogen parts, so I imagine the build quality is decent.
I guess if anyone comes across this thread, and has used equipment from Shape WLB, please post your input and experiences. Thanks.

I have a Shape Wlb Cameleon 2 since 6 mouth for my camera EX1. Is a very nice camera support. Strong and comfortable. I don't have any bad think to say about this product, is professionnal. And the service is perfect. Is good to buy product from small compagny, i've talk with the creator of the compagny and Shape Wlb have a lot of product in development, like a travelling dolly and a skate dolly.. very interesting

I see the designer at the NAB Show to Vegas. The design have a experience in cinema of camera department during 15 years a go. So....Shape have a really good idea what's a cameraman and what i want it.
This camera support it's a good tools for the cameraman, it's a relly good thinking. You have so much possibility whit this camera support.
The service it's perfect.
