Shake compensation.

The hand that symbolizes shake compensation is not on my LCD screen. It used to be but disappeared a few days ago. I'm puzzled.

In vcr mode, under display setup, other display is ALL, and camera data is ON. In camera mode other display is ALL.

In the manuel it says that is what is needed for the shake compensation feature, pages 56 and 57. On 53 though, it says "Camera shake compensation display. This appears when ON has been selected as the camera shake compensation function setting." If there is a specific setting in the menu for shake compensation, I can't find it.

If anyone understands what's wrong or can help, it's really appreciated. Thanks 8)

the button to turn the OIS (optical Image Stabilization) on or off is on the left side of the cam . you need to open up the lcd, and it will be on the bottom right of the panel of buttons under there.
