Shake Compensation

Re: Shake Compensation

There's a button on the side of the camera, hidden by the LCD panel, for OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

Re: Shake Compensation

Thank's Barry!
I would like to know if I'll be able to understand your book if I'm a newbie? Because the image is never good always too red. I tried to change the gamma...etc. and the ATW to be sure the white is wheel set. nothing to do. For exemple if it's suppose to be a dark red, is a bright red!

Is it possible to adjust the white balance manually like on the GL2 (a little wheel) because I just know there is a switch on the AG-DVX100A (A,b,PRST)

Thank's

Re: Shake Compensation

Get the book! I did and am blown away in what I thought I knew about this camera. Barry has broken it down in plain English.

When you say the image is too red, do you mean skin tones or the entire image is off the charts red/orange? What kind of light are you shooting in and are you shooting under the correct PRST? (Indoor tungsten would be 3200K and outdoor would be 5600K). Can you psot some grabs of what you are seeing? Have you done a manual WB in the light you are shooting in?

Re: Shake Compensation

Switch to either the A or B white balance position. Zoom in on a white card until it fills the frame. Hit the AWB button located just under the lens at the front of the camera. When the viewfinder reads "OK", you're good to go.

Re: Shake Compensation

Hey ronik15, is very important read the DVX´s manual before you shoot. I advise to buy DVX´s Barry book, it is very easy to understand it and very useful .
