"Shades" is top 3 finalist in MTV film contest

I just received a call from MTV on Friday that I am a finalist in the MTV Best Film on Campus competition with my short film "Shades."  For those of you who voted this past week in the semi-finalist round, thank you very much for the support.

This next week, Joel Schumacher, Gus Van Sant, Allison Anders, and the MTV staff will be juding the three finalists videos.  There is also another online voting session, so if you have time, please vote again!  Just log onto http://www.mtvu.com/contests/best_film.

Voting will take place this week, and the winner will be announced either Friday or the following Monday, the 15th.

Though I am an alumni of NYU, did you see Jordan Ross'? He shot it with 16mm. Something like 1/4 tobacco filter and about 10 minutes of lab time with the colorist and that was it!

Thanks for the support! Unfortunately, I received a call today that I didn't win the competition, but I am happy enough to have made it this far.

I did see Jordan Ross' and thought it looked spectacular. It was very well-shot and the coloring was terrific. Not to mention, the soccer players running through Soho was cool.

It's actually the Washington Mews off Universrity Place by Washington Square Park on West 4th.

Coloring complimentary by Moving Images I believe?

That's awesome how far you made it. Congradulations either way and you can only learn from the experience right?- get better?
