sgpro smoking clip

I just thought this was funny popping up directly under the "Today I am quiting smoking..." post.

Looks great! Strange, I was just thinking about some grabs you had posted a while back and figured I'd never be able to find them again. Beautiful images, just incredibly natural looking. Cheers!

i liked it. the reversal was done well with the music especially, and a good point to end (with the smoke between the camera and subject, cool effect).
would you mind sharing your super secret export settings. what were your dimensions and were there any special things done to the h264 default settings?
thanks, it looked great

For this clip, I made a project in vegas with dimensions of 720x370 which is basically 16x9. Then, on each 'clip' in the timeline you click the frame deal and say match source output I think. Then I have some presets saved to export to sorenson 3 uncompressed. I do highest quality, no compression on audio, and try to keep it lossless. Then, I take that file (which for this was about 100 mb) and I opened up quicktime pro and exported to h264 at the "high" setting with the same dimensions. And that brought it down to 16mb so it worked out pretty good. Thanks for the comments! If you don't understand something or want more detail just let me know

for some reason the shot at 00:51 (the close up of the hand) looked more "videoy" than the others... any reason for this or am i tripping out?

everything else is awesome! :D

The only reason it would look videoy at :51 I think is cause of the color correction most likely, or maybe the color curve wasn't as much as the others. I don't know though haha.

Hey Pfista, what were your camera settings and what did you do to the footage cc wise. Looks so nice and film like to me like 16mm those beautiful, skintones and those dark desaturated greens such a nice combo that is so hard to get looking right in dv. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
