Just testing out some new settings and gear. Just received a crane, built a dolly, LCD, shoulder mount, etc, and sometime VERY soon, I'll be going out to do some testing of all the new toys. Here's a screenshot of my old man taken at his house earlier today.

I'm planning on going out Sunday with all the new gear, but the weather may not agree with me. Supposed to be cold and rainy, but we'll see.

I'll be posting footage and writing up a small review of the lilliput monitor/tekkeon battery setup, the proam 8' crane, and a couple other tricks up my sleeve:lipsrseal

Nice and sharp!
Love it!

Can't wait to see some footage from you man!

Oh and one thing.. Is this the DVX100, A or B?

DVX100A on this shot. yeah... I'm very pleased with the sharpness. It's great actually being able to pull accurate focus with an external monitor ;) I've had the rev3 since the first shipment, but just recently got a monitor.

Looks sharp, but i don't like how it's so noisy, and how his ears are out of focus...That's a bit extreme where dof is concerned

To address the noise issue: It's from me pushing the levels so hard in the color grading process, not from the footage itself.

Here's a RAW shot straight from the camera.

As far as too shallow of a DOF, I disagree, but I guess that's personal preference. I was shooting at somewhere around f4.0 or so, just FYI.

Don't want to take the time to edit/upload footage of this, but rest assured, there'll be some within a few days from me.

Thanks for the comments.
