sgblade DVX out of the box test

i commented on this on vimeo...but maybe i'll get a response here. its goodstuff...i really liked it...cuz i was looking for some dvx/blade footage. I asked about ur compression/ encoding for the net. u got some good quality.

There's a vintage quality to the piece. It's probably because of the bathtub, the window frame, the muted colors, the softness, and the kids look like they came out of a rockwell painting :). Nice job. I have a dvx100a that I'm thinking of selling. I'm still debating on buying an SGBlade versus a DSLR with video.

Amazing!! The footage looks incredible. Even something as simple as a kids bath time is given depth. The footage looks movie quality to these amateur eyes!

Thanks all. Like I said this was really out of the box. Slapped on the front of the DVX in poor light with my poor focus. I think it just proves how easy adn how potentially good the blade is with the DVX.

This feels like a real pro piece of kit - build quality is amazing.

As for compression for the net I just fiddled around in MPEG streamclip.

I'll try somethig else with a bit more care and attention.
