Several stills from my latest short 'A Happy Wedding!?'

Looks good!

I like your logo too...very pro. I think the fog looks a little tacky, but it could be the compression.

The trailer is a little brief. Is it a comedy? If so it could do with a good gag in there at least.

The stills look nice and consistent. The lighting is not that dramatic, but if it is a sit-com type film, it does want to be IMHO.

I would like to see more...

stills look a little dark? but maybe the scene is at night? I still think they could look better though? Brighter? It's kind of dreary? I agree with the gag thing. The playing off of the on-screen text is kind of funny, but not the kind of funny that gets somebody to want to see a comedy. My feeling is that this is the only footage you currently have?

The images are kind of foreboding, something tells me the wedding ain't so happy.
Thanks for the feedback. You nailed it.

Now, what's up everyone? Where's all the feedback PK, John, Mino, and all the other great crew out there...???

The 4th got your tongue? :)

Btw - I was only the D.P. of the short.

HansK - Great crew? My name must have been typo :) But my Mom thinks I'm cool.

The images, lighting, and colors look great. The trailer wasn't very convincing. I hink it could have been a little better at drawing the audience in to the pain or concern/problem. That way the last lines could have worked better (as a joke). But it was ok for a short film trailer.

As far as the logo; It is nice looking but it is WAAAAAY too long for a trailer. That and the NR took up 1/3 of the trailer's run time. You need to have two versions; one for your short films/features (10-12 sec) and one for your trailers (3-5 sec). Just cut the emerging from the water and only use the logo floating above the rippling water with light reflecting. Instant logo.

Besides all that it looked great and good luck!

Thanks for the intersting feedbacks about the stills and the rest.
Yes, it's a comedy, a black comedy actually.

Since it was my first project working with a crew and this new camera, as an exercise, I did not concentrate on writing the script but on the production and the directing aspects. I adapted a 5 page script to become a seven page script. Excluding the start and end credits the short is seven minutes.

The idea was that if you close your eyes and listen to the text it sounds like a comedy but if you close you ears it looks like something that is not.

Concerning the logo, I agree it is too long, I actually shrunk it down to like 2.5 sec but hadn't posted it yet. Now it's done.
The trailer was a quick exercise. I did it at the very end. I guess it's not easy to do a trailer on a 7-8 minute short film without showing too much. I appreciate the constructive criticism.
