Some settings can be easily manipulated in post, like color. However, others like detail, gamma, pedestal, often only look right when set correctly during shooting.
 
BUMP - Any votes for this as a 'sticky' topic? Just curious.

I see the topic researched extensively. It'd be nice to have it live as an ongoing thread here.
