Settings from 200 to 500?

I learned I can't use an SD card to tranfer scene files from HVX200 to the HPX500. Wondering if there is ANY way out there to this? I was thinking saving files on computer, formatting card on 500, the dropping scene info into the formatted card mounted on computer maybe?

Wondering if anyone out there has done this or knew of a way. Thanks for any help

By the time you go through all of the hassle of this, wouldn't it be quicker, easier and more practical to just set up the 500 manually? I know Barry has posted on this before, several of the parameter settings on the 500 are segmented differently than on the 200.

If you know your menus, it takes about 2 minutes.

If you saved out the scene file from an HPX500, and then also saved out the scene file from an HVX200, and compared them, you'd probably see what changes need to be made to get teh other camera able to read it. You will have to edit the text file, and it'll probably end up being more hassle than just doing what Dan said -- you can fly through the menus and make a comparable setting in 2 minutes or less.
 
And as a side note, although the menus are similar apart from more options in the HPX, the actual exported scene files dont follow the same order.
