Settings for Indoor Wedding

Hi,

I am going to shoot wedding which will be situated indoor (castle). What is the best settings to have shallow DOF, not pale faces with green touch and similar negative artifacts?

Full manual control is nice, but I will not be able to control everything during this action (no time for repetition:)

So which mode should I use, what to pre-set etc?

Thanks very much for any hints

In my opinion this would be a situation where it would be nice to set the shutter speed to the slowest value which isn't below the frame rate, and set the aperture wide open for shallow DOF (though will that be appropriate all the time?) and set the ISO to auto so that it uses the lowest ISO value that delivers a proper exposure. Unfortunately you can't do that.

In practice, in a low light situation, if you use Creative Motion Picture mode with shutter priority setting and with auto ISO, the aperture will very likely stay wide open anyway (especially with the kit lens) and the ISO will vary as required.

Pale green faces sounds like fluorescent lighting? Hopefully that won't be in this old castle.

Really you will need a different lens.

Especially if the light is low. The kit lens is very slow, does not have a very shallow DOF.

Thanks. So you mean to set Creative Video Mode with AFC/AFS and shutter priority to 1/50, AUTO ISO. Any other finetunings?

I don´t mean fluorescent lightning, I mean that footage in low light situation and with AWB is grey and people has white/green touch color skin color.
