settings for BetaSP emulation

i have the DVX for 2 weeks now.
while in 25p i am stunned at how close i get this cam to look like 16mm footage i have failed so far to emulate the image of my BetaSP cam.
does anyone have a set of settings that gives that "look" a Beta gives (which is of course far from the progressive look, but better than the "miniDV-look").
we shoot sports for TV-networks and the 25p slomo is not good enough, so we shoot all that in 50i but it simply looks like footage from a regular DV-cam and not a Beta to me.
i have recorded a WildBoyz show on MTV (which is shot on DVX and i saw a cameraman once and he was not using any mini35mm or mattebox, simply a DVX) and i can´t get their look yet. IMO this show is indistinguishable from a Beta show....

we just got our last tape in and we are getting there. we are at
detail -2 and Vdetail -2; masterped -4 and colour +2. the colourtemp is adjusted according to light (snow, sun, clouds, indoors etc)....and this seems to give us a nice smooth interlaced picture. i need to try out the gamma and stuff a bit more. these settings are so vast...i hope barry´s DVD will help a little once it is here.

I personally think DV images to be nicer than BetaSP, when I disregard the difference in glass that is obvious the most distinct feature. I also think that MiniDV is too sharp, probably because of it's digital nature, and there are, of course, the artifacts. I don't see betaSP stuff that is colorful and contrasty as DV, so I'd take off some saturation and contrast, but letting the pedestal a little higher. You have made it differently, so maybe we are talking about different looks. Maybe I'm just not used to see some nicely photographed betaSP, as the ones you mentioned...
