settings for aerials w/ dvx ?

Through a stroke of good luck a friend has booked me this week to go up in a helicopter and film some buildings with my dvx100a.

I have to approach the buildings and then circle them a few times and then do some passes of other building sites.

I have rented a tyler middle mount to stabilize the camera, (see link below if you are unfamiliar with these monsters--)

but I would greatly appreciate your input on the camera settings and frame rates that you would recommend for the best image possible.

Thanks!

Probably too late to answer but to answer your question - it's a matter of taste (at least in my opinion). I'm sure in full auto mode the DVX would capture great looking shots. Just make sure your exposure and focus are good. The rest of it is literally up in the air! 24p, 30p, 60i ? To each his own. :engel017:

again probably too late but i just did some aerial shots and i found i set the lens on wide and manual focus on 95 and used a shutter speed of 120 that way if there was any movement i used it at 50% when editing to make it look smooth... Paul
