Setting up a new project ??

I want to set up a new project in final Cut Express , The project was shot in 30P

How would I set up the project as far as Time line, I want to be able to put this footage on a dvd to be played on a TV

Open FCE, Select NEW Project and import your work. Just make sure your capture settings and your sequence settings match before you start any editing.

im a noob where are these setting located...and should they be set prior to capturing my footage into FCE

In FCE, the capture settings and sequence settings are automatically the same. Just go to Final Cut Express>Easy Setup and make sure that you're on DV-NTSC. Of course, if you are shooting in squeeze mode, you'll select the anamorphic setup.

Oh sorry...I only use FCP and never used FCE. When in doubt I guess you could always click HELP in the top menu and access the manual.
