Setting Shutter Release Function for Photo

So just began playing around with my GH2 (finally!!!)...

Is there a way to set my "shutter release" button for only photos and my "rec" button for video? I'd like to be able to stay in video mode, and shoot stills when needed (This is the only way I use my T2i)

I don't think so. Sadly the only way to shot 1080p is in Movie Mode which turns the shutter button into the record start button.

The only way to do this is to put the camera in a stills MASP mode, and enable the movie button to take videos. However, I think the camera will use mostly automatic settings when you shoot video this way.

Ok. I searched the menus and nothing popped out to me either. I'll dig through the manual to make sure. **UPDATE: Just did and it specifically says: "You cannot take still pictures" pg 105
