setting levels on dvx for use with sd 302

do it simple - 10 dbu attunuation output(mic/line/-10dbu switch) ( ton = 0dbu) =-20 on the camera - thtu the brake away
you will crank alitle the camera knobs , but that better then get distort the input
or work with 0db out and keep the limiter open at least +14 dbu

0 dbu on direct out =-20 on the recorder
remember when you run mic to left or right only it has +3 db more signal then it in center position

i am doing ok on the signal to the camera i was worried about the levels on the recorder being too low.

so are you saying to set the limiter on the 442 to +14?

should i worry about the levels on the 744 or just leave them alone once i have the level set?

the direct outs are pre fade so the only adjustments i can make on the recorder are the pre fade gain levels.

thanks for reminding me about the +3 for the hard left or right i had forgotten about that.

what is to hight ?when you give ton 0 dbu on the mixer and pull the signal from dyrect , you should calibrate the 744 ( line ins) to -20 dbfs
