Setting for a feature

Hello to all who have gone before me in this topic.

I'd like some advice on settings for a indi feature I've been hired to AC.

To date all of my work goes to internet and DVD but I thought a feature might have different concernes... I don't know if the plan is to print to film or just have the film live in the digital world forever.

Do I shoot 1080/24pa or 1080/24p?

I wanted to go 1080 for the resolution and posible composits in post.

We would switch to 720 for any slo mo shots... just two I've been told.

Any help would be apresiated.

deffinately shoot 1080 24pa - I'm pretty sure its easier on the computer when rendering/compressing/uncompressing etc. (i'm in the PAL world so don't understand it too much)

I shot a short film (27 minutes) and we shot a couple of slo-mo things at 720 and I uprezzed them to 1080 perfectly. Very happy with the results...just pay extra extra special attention to focus when shooting at 720 for uprez.

I did some compositing at 1080 25p and found it very easy to work with.

Thanks

I'll keep it in the 1080PA world just in case there's more cgi than thay think.

Safe than sorry.
