Hello,
How do I set the color temperature manually on the PMW-EX3? I'd like to set it to K 3700 for example. I know there is Memory A and Memory B and it reads the values from those, but how do I adjust this?
Asaf.
You can't manually set A & B to a specific CT (only take a reading with the white balance button) but if use a picture profile, you can manually set the value of the preset white balance switch position to any value you want. You can even change the value while recording.
I'm not sure and thought that myself. I wonder if a white balance reading might also effect the colours in different ways to a manual set WB or if they would just give you the same result.
A good test would a mixed lighing scene (to make it challenging), take a manual reading on A, dial that reading into preset and switch between the two (disable that white shock etc so you get a hard change to make differences more obvious).
Yes "Picture Profile" is your friend. It is a really quick way "menu wise" to adjust the white balance to a specific setting. It also gives you a real time preview of the changes to the color temperature.
