GH2 Sescom cable not inserting deep enough

I just got a sescom cable but it seems like the end is too big to insert properly into the gh1 or gh2. Is there some sort of smaller extension that people run to get this to work?

Same issue here with most all audio adapters on the GH2. I have to force them in.

Yeah, I am using the one with the headphone tap though. I usually just run an h4n or h1 mounted separately and clap the audio but was looking for a little more run and gun setup for an upcoming job.
