servo zoom problem

Quite fede up that day when shooting using the servo zoom. Since my shot required a static picture then follows by a slow zoom until closeup of the actor. I use the slowest speed servo zoom on handle. The problem is, the starting of zooming sometimes 'unstable' for a few frame, and then stable all the way following that. I tried mannual zoom, but my hand isn't good enough to give a steady and slow zoom from middle shot until closeup shot :(

Anyone has any idea of this problem? Is this consider a problem for the camera? btw I'm talking about 100A.

Re: servo zoom problem

Yeah, ive the same problem on the 102A as well...
Dam irritaiting, the servo jerks a bit before zooming out smoothly..

Anybody can help?

Thanks

Re: servo zoom problem

Sorry! Mine is not 100A but 102AEN. And I think they are the same models as 100A and 102A, just different country code.

Experts, please help!

Re: servo zoom problem

That's weird, the only time I have noticed it jerk on me is the first time I engage the servo zoom after having it on manual. After that I havn't seen anything like what you are explaining.

Re: servo zoom problem

Dont know if its caused by my enthusiasm playing with the cam when i first got it, and some how damaged it accidently.....i was figuring out how to manual zoom

I do that all the time and have not seen that when using the L mode (slowest). I ease in and ease out on creeps without that. Strange...

Re: servo zoom problem

I've seen this with my 100a as well. One time soon after I got it, I remember adjusting the zoom manually without sliding the switch to manual. I wonder if this caused the problem. I also wonder if I could somehow adjust it back and correct it. ??
