C500: Service Notice: SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress card readers bundled w C500 Mark II

Canon USA just issued a Service Notice below regarding the Sandisk Extreme Pro CFexpress Card Reader that were being included with Canon C500 Mark II Cameras.

Canon USA is no longer including the Sandisk CFexpress Reader in the C500 Mark II box. The Sandisk 512GB CFexpress memory card is still being included in the C500 Mark II box.

Details

Some SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress card readers SDDR-F451, bundled with the EOS C500 Mark II cameras, may not seat the CFexpress card properly within the card reader preventing it from being detected.

If the SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress card reader is experiencing this issue please contact SanDisk Customer Support. SanDisk has informed Canon that SanDisk will evaluate the reader and, if necessary, offer a replacement.

No, Canon won't be dropping the price.

Canon USA will end the free Sandisk 512GB CFexpress offer when they run out of cards.

We're offering customers with defective readers a replacement from ProGrade Digital.

Maybe its a general SanDisk Quality Check issue. Ive been for long getting used to putting in and out the CFast Card of the SanDisk Reader multiple times before its red properly. Anyone else who had the same problem?

I was just looking at the B&H link for the C500 II and it no longer includes a free card.

On the search page, it just shows a ProGrade CFexpress reader with a value of $79. On the item page, however, it shows the CFexpress card from sandisk is included. My mistake, although I do wonder how much longer the card will be included. Also, I'm wondering how long it will take for B&H to get stock for sale.

Probably soon...they appear to receive more product than anyone. FX9 was in stock yesterday (not sure how many) but already gone.
